Update on Granger Enchanted

As many may already know another archive is down. GE has been having difficulties for several months and has now been unaccessable for several weeks. There was a posting on the Granger Enchanted FB page( Here) earlier this week, that an effort is being made to save the stories by transfering them to AO3. To do this they are trying to raise enough funds to pay late fees, monthly fees, etc, to bring the archive back online long enough for the fics to be transfered.

I'm not personally affiliated with GE in any way, other than as a writer and a fan. I espcially liked Granger Enchanted as an archive because it's stories are Hermione centric. I've made a donation myself, and hope it helps, if not, at least I tried.

I'm going to copy the post here for those who are interested but are not on facebook (and I know there are people out there who aren't).

Hello there Enchanters,
After much conversation and consideration between the remaining admin, a decision about the future of Granger Enchanted has been made.

Our fearless leader and site owner, Mistress Malfoy, cannot continue her involvement and support due to real life concerns. Normally in this situation, the site would go dark and the stories archived would be lost. We hope to keep that from happening to the contents of vaults at our beloved Granger Enchanted and it is ...to this purpose that we are appealing to you now.

The admin from the site Archive Of Our Own, know as AO3, have graciously offered to import the contents of our site to be safely stored at AO3. We realize this is not a perfect solution but would save so many stories that would otherwise be lost forever. So, our hope is to raise enough money through fan donations to bring Granger Enchanted back for the sole purpose of having our stories imported to AO3.
When the site went dark in February it was not entirely due to lack of funds but also to a basic instability that has occurred from stress on the bandwidth. We will need to raise a sum of $400 US to allow the stories to be imported. This amount will pay for monthly fees, late fees, re-installment fees for Granger Enchanted, Malfoy Manor, and the Owl Post forums.

Mistress Malfoy has established a PayPal account for that purpose and has agreed to pay these fees from the donations. Other than that, she will not be back at all. She volunteered for this job since no one else can make these payments or have access to other information about the site. Only she has access to everything on the site to make it run smoothly.
