I'm so happy!

I've finished the final chapter my LM/HG exchange fic and sent it off to my beta's. The lovely mods there had already granted me a one week extension, so I should have plenty of time to make the necessary changes and polish it up a bit before sending off to the exchange.

*whew* What a relief, I was beginning to worry about getting it done in time. I hope my recipient likes her gift. :)

Thanks, a bit stressful, yes. It's not bad if you don't sign up for too many at once. LOL

I had actually signed up for both the Luciusbigbang, and the lm/hg exchange. But I finished my LBB fic a while back, just had to get it beta'd. But lm/hg exchange fic took a bit longer and I always worry as the deadline approaches.

Now I can relax, and wait to read all the new Lucius fics. :D

Exchange authors are my heroes! I cannot imagine the sort of stress that comes from having to produce from someone else's prompt. Then to add a tight schedule and a looming deadline into the mix just seems crazy. Bless you for being willing to do that!

Thanks mts. I spent two years reading fanfic before I ever attempted writing anything at all. And I'm still not entirely convinced that what I produce is anything that others will want to read. But I am having fun writing it so I guess that is the main thing. LOL

And part of the problem for me is I am not a planner/outliner kind of writer. I come up with a general idea and kind of run with. I may have a general end in sight but I am basically making it up as I go along. I think that is why sometimes my characters seem to come in and totally reroute my story from where I thought it was going. Or people who were meant to have a very minor role suddenly take over. (It's a mutiny, I tell ya, a mutiny!) LOL!

I tend to be insecure about my writing. There are so many wonderful writers in the fandom, being a newer writer here is a bit daunting.
