I'm so sorry, but I didn't get the bingo thing at all. Can someone explain it to me in really small words very slowly??? Sorry to be so thick!!

Teddy it's just an additional way to have fun with the exchange. The rules, and explanation of how it works ore on the site. Basically you buy Bingo cards by donating a gift, I think last year it was 1 card per small gift and 5 per large gift. Your donated gift could be a drabble (small gift) a bit of a longer story (large gift), it could be art, banners, icons, or it could be something totally not fandom related. Last year I got a fic from Aurette: Whom the Goddess Chooses(it was supposed to be a drabble) but she emailed me after getting my prompt and said I have a great idea for this prompt but I have such a hard time keeping things short would it be all right if it ends up longer than a drabble? I was like... duh? Yea, go for it. Lucky, lucky me! Plus I also got a beautiful handmade patchwork pillow from mollyssister.(http://madeleone.livejournal.com/tag/bingo%20prize )I think some people donated homebaked cookies, fudge, craft items,all kinds of things.

Anyway after you donate they e-mail you your cards with the names of the giftees, then as each story is posted for that person and you review it, you can then mark that off your card (you MUST review, and then you can copy and paste the link in that square on your card.) If you get a S or an H you get a large prize which you may choose off the list. If you get a straight line and maybe 4 corners (but I'm not sure of that one, check the rules) then you get a small prize.

I did indeed score big last year! Of course Aurette's gift was 'supposed' to be a small gift drabble, but luckily for me Aurette (by her own admission) just couldn't keep it short. :)

It's a rather brilliant way to encourage readers to leave comments for the authors and artists of the exchange! As Madeleone said, you promise to donate a prize or two. In exchange you get bingo cards. You play by reading and reviewing the exchange gifts on your cards. You have to leave a comment before you can X out that box on your card. When you bingo you get to pick your prize from the donated prize lists. There were lots of fabulous prizes last year! It's fun!
