I'm flying the HG/SS crack_broom for august!

I'm doing the HG/SS recs for August and posted my first rec today.

The crack_broom is a HP rec site that has been around for ages but it seems that of late there have been a servere shortage of rec'ers. In fact, I'm very sad to say that the only HG/SS recs for the entire year so far have been mine! I did a stint back in April and have now signed up for August.

If you love reading HG/SS and have some favorite fics you'd like to reccomend, please consider signing up for future months. Right now there is no one at all signed up for the rest of the year. It's not hard to do, if you sign up you only need to make 4 rec's for the enitre month--just one rec a week.  Check out this post for more info.

Last I looked it seemed like all the hgss I liked or could at least rec with a good conscience (yes, Slytherins do have a conscience, too) had already been rec'd...
Perhaps I should look at the memories on CB again...

It's true that most of the 'classic' fics have been rec'd already. I still think there are a lot of newer things out there though, like stuff from the promtfest and last year's gift fest.

It's not just HG/SS that is lacking rec'ers though. Most of the lists at crack_broom are low these days. And that makes me sad, because like archives disappearing, it's just another way that the fandom is shrinking.

I really don't have other rec's for other pairings to offer as HG/SS is my main pairing, and aside from LM/HG and SS/HG/LM and the occasional Dramione, I don't really read much else. I guess I like Hermione best, and I like her with those sneaky Slytherins. ;)

I am in awe of anybody who can do this. I just don't have the knowledge of the fics and also have a brain like a sieve so don't even remember the ones I love, way too often.
