Well looking at this I guess I have stayed around the same area  my whole life. :)

Census meme

2011: Am living in St. Charles, MI with my husband and 2 dogs and 3 cats (only one of which started out as really ours, the others were all inherited from children as they left home) in a 3 bedroom house that we own. Working part time in home health care and really wish we could retire.

2001: Living in same house in with husband and 3 of 4 kids, oldest has just to U of M to start pharmacy school, next son in comm college and both girls still in middle school and high school. Still have 1 dog and 3 cats. Still working part-time at same job.

1991: Still living in same house with 4 kids ages 2, 6, 9 and 11. 1 dog, but a different one, maybe a cat not sure though. I had taken some time off work after youngest was born in 89, I think I may have just started back to work but for a different home care agency than I am at now, only very minimally part time.

1981: Living in St. Charles, Married and in our first house which was old and falling apart, (this was pre '86 floods when it really did fall apart). Had one son 1 year old, and 1 dog and 1 cat. I  was working part time at hospital in Saginaw, MI.

1971: Living at home with Mom and Dad, address was Saginaw but we really were in the country about 17 miles outside. Going to school in St. Charles, a junior in high school. I liked school and was involved in stuff and had a small circle of good friends. Life was good (little did I know then that within 6 years both my parents would be gone within a 1 ½ years of each other).

1961: Lived in same 2 bedroom house with Mom and Dad and our dog Fido (yes, his name really was Fido). I was 7 years old and an only child of older parents. Going to School in St. Charles and in second or third grade.. We were fairly poor, my dad only worked seasonally as a construction worker, but as a kid I had no idea that we were poor. We always had enough to eat and clothes and a home. Life was good.
