You'd have to know that was a state there, though... and honestly, I can't say I've ever paid much attention to shapes *inside* a country / bordering some bit of a random country. I mean, when I look at that map, I see the lakes there; if you hadn't mentioned the mitten, it would never have occurred to me to look at the land borders and what shapes they have, if that makes sense.

But thanks to you, I now know that Michigan looks like a mitten. *g*
