Squeees! My LBB fic posted today!

My fic, A Gift of Love, posted today at the luciusbigbang as the final posting in this year's fest.

Thanks to the mods for hosting the fest and for all of the hard work I know it must take to host a fest like this. And special thanks for their patience with me and for granting me the extensions to finish the fic. I know I had plenty of time in advance to get it done, but procrastinator that I am, I ended up having to try to finish the LBB and the SS/HG exchange fic around the same time.

Many, many thanks to my friend, beta, and brit-pickertalesofsnape for all her help. Even when I delayed til the very last second before sending her the final chapters she worked like a trouper. I do admit the I often tweak bits even after beta so any mistakes to notice are mine. Thanks to tales too for the lovey banner she created for the my fic( she even included Maffoy Bear!) which the mods graciously posted for me along with the LBB banner.

And thanks too, for my wonderful alpha reader cheerleader morethansirius. I've not had good luck with cheerleaders in the past and couldn't quite understand the purpose. But I really admire mts's strong role in the fandom and asked her if she would consider helping me out on this fic. Now I can clearly see how much having someone in this role really helps. She offered encouragement, positive feedback, wonderful ideas and was a tremendous help overall.

I've been watching and waiting over at LBB. Of course, it would be the last one to post because I was anticipating it so. It was a joy to work with you, my dear. How could I resist getting to read one of your stories ages before everyone else?!?!

*Snerk* I know, I was getting worried because I knew this was the last week of posting. LOL! Thanks so much for all of your help I meant it completely. It was wonderful having advanced feedback on the story as it progressed, instead of wondering... 'does this really work? will the reader understand this part?'etc. Your input was fabulous!
