I came home from work today to a wonderful surprise!  Talesofsnape sent me the original artwork from my sshg_exchange gift this year. Check here and here to see my lovely gifts.  Tales drew the art work to accompany the fic I had written for her birthday back in 2011, The Fairy Lantern. I am so excited to have such lovely artwork for my very own. :)

Thank goodness! I was beginning to get rather worried, I must admit. Now I just need the jumper for alwaysjbj's granddaughter to turn up and I'll be a happy woman. I'm so glad that I was awake to get your email & post notification. And so pleased you like the 'real things'.

I know you were worried it was taking so long. They arrived in perfect condition. Thanks so much for sending them to me. I hope the jumper arrives soon too.

Well, that's one up on the last time I tried to send someone artwork. I did try to buy one of those envelopes with a hard back in A3 size but they didn't have any. The guy at the Post Office talked me into using a tube to send the piccie rolled up. When it reached the recipient the tube had been semi-flattened and, years later, the piccie is probably still sitting somewhere with a ton of books on top of it as the recipient tries to get rid of the creases. At least these made it in mint condition, even if they took a while, and the jumper isn't likely to be damaged in transit, so it'll probably turn up in a day or two.

Now you just need to work out where you can hide them away so that 'normals' can't see.
