SAT. 10/5/13

OMFG! I'm exhausted after less than 8 hours of babysitting the grandkids. Not that it wasn't fun, but they are so active! I'm so glad my kids are all raised and I don't have to do this everyday.

The kids didn't leave until after 2 pm because they couldn't check into their condo until after 4 pm. DIL was a little worried about leaving the kids but sooooo excited to have 24 hours for just the two of them. (This is the first time they have left the baby for overnight with anyone, so it was a little stressful for her). The baby M cried like her heart was broken when she realized that they were actually getting in the car and leaving. That lasted for all of about ten minutes then she settled right down and was fine all night. T was peach, he didn't give us a lick of trouble, I had brought some books and games and a new puzzle for the kids so we spent time doing all that stuff. But they are just so busy and of course you have to keep your eye on the baby ALL the time as she is into everything and trying to climb up on stuff.

I think when I get home tomorrow night I will take a warm shower and go straight to bed. (Probably not really but it feels like it right now.)

In other news, I downloaded 'Thoroughly Modern Monsters' when it went up on B&N. Haven't had time to read much yet though, but am looking forward to getting into it soon. BTW, my Nook seems to be working okay today so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that whatever happened yesterday was just a random glitch. (fingers and toes crossed).
