I've been tagged by helenarickman for these two memes
HP Meme:
Favourite character?
Hermione. I think I relate to her the most. I'm an only child of older parents and as I was growing up I lived in books. Plus I was a skinny (of course you wouldn't know it to look at me now), freckle-faced little know-it-all with wild bushy hair.
Which house?
Definitely Hufflepuff. I'm a Puff through and through and damned proud of it!
Patronus?
Probably a bunny, or maybe some kind of shaggy dog.
Favourite class?
Charms, I think.
Would you make to the Quidditch team?
Oh, hell no. I was not the sporty girl, oh so many years ago in high school. I was the drama club queen.
If you do, which position?
Spectator, but I'd be crowd watching or I'd have a book in my bag to read during the game.
Favourite teacher?
Flitwick. I always thought he was awesome. Just this tiny little dude and and yet he wielded so much magical power. And he was a dueling champion in his younger years, how cool is that?. Go Filius!
First or second Dumbledore?
No real preference. I'm not a fan of Dumbledore at all. He's portrayed as this wise, intelligent, father like figure, all seeing and all knowing. But to me he's just a big manipulator.
Least favourite character?
Bellatrix. Dude, that chick was crazy as all get out.
Most useful spell?
Apparition. Someone needs to invent this for real!
Writing/drawing meme:
Have you ever written/drawn in an unusual place?
Hmmm... In the middle of the woods while we were camping.
The word/phrase/drawing trick you know you overuse, but can’t get rid of.
Hmm... I don't know that I over-use it but the phrase 'in flagrante delicto' has wormed it's way into a couple of my fics. Now I almost look for ways to sneak it in, like it's a secret catch phrase.
Do you keep notes? Do you have a notebook?
No, but I probably should. I think I'm starting to have senior moments: where I think of something I absolutely need to do/write/etc and within a minute I've forgotten all about it. Then three hours later I'm like—oh shit, I was supposed to... I may need to get a giant barrel full of post-it notes so I can put reminders of things I think of everywhere.
What's the hardest part of a fic/drawing to write/draw for you?
I procrastinate. I have the best of intentions, but it's so easy to get side-tracked.
Have you ever based something in your fic/art on your personal experience? What was it?
Yes. In one of my short fics, Crooksie's Legacy. Crooks was getting old and senile and I based his actions on my daughter's ancient ginger cat, Simba, who has since passed over the rainbow bridge.
What’s that one fic/art piece you want to write/create but somehow know you never will?
I'm sure I'll never write a really epic length fic, I just know it would never get finished. It's that procrastination thing, ya know.
What do you usually do when you procrastinate?
Read romance novels, watch netflix, play games on my phone, sit on my deck and watch the grass grow, get on the phone and yak with one of my kids (especially one of my daughters--we can talk for over an hour, then hang up and remember something we forgot to say and call back and talk another twenty minutes).
What’s the funniest typo/art mishap you’ve made?
I'm sure there are many but I can't pinpoint any one thing.
Do you listen to music when you write/draw?
No. I can't even sit in the same room where my husband is watching TV, and it's not that he keeps it loud. I just don't like the distraction. I know a lot of people turn on the TV or radio just for background noise, but I'm the weirdo who comes home and turns it all off. I enjoy the silence.
Your favorite comment a reader has left on your fic/art?
I remember in one of my exchange fics, Mundungus42 commented that even though she wasn't the recipient of the fic, she felt like it had been written just for her. That really warmed my heart.
Also several people commented on my Crookshanks fic mentioned above that it had made them cry and it made me think, 'damn, if I can make them feel that strongly with just my words, I must be doing something right!'
I'm going to tag mundungus42,
