Update on Hogsmeade weather report. LOL!

We weren't nuts and we weren't seeing things. in response to my previous post:

It was snow in Hogsmeade. I found a pic on an HP forum posted in 2010,  that shows the scene when they were filming DH2 . You can see snow drifts and snow on the roofs and even icicles. I don't know if it was an official explanation or just supposition, but the reasoning they came up with on the forum was that due to high dementor activity in the area it caused everything to freeze. Not sure if I'm buying that one myself, if that's the case wouldn't all those dementors around Azkaban for years have turned it into one giant iceberg? LOL!

Alrighty then! And we were supposed to know this how? The scene with a single flower freezing because a dementor went by in PoA was intended to prepare us for a future dementor whiteout? We were supposed to just magnify that freezing window on the train to piles of snow whenever more than a couple of them got together?

LOL! I'm not sure if that's the "official" reasoning behind having all the snow in Hogsmeade or just the idea the fans came up with on the HP forum. Someone else suggested that the views of Hogsmeade in previous movies was in winter, so they just kept the same set? That seems pretty lame to me too, though. I think it was just a big goof up, maybe they figured no one would notice. LOL! They really don't understand all the rabid HP fans do they?
