I am finally posting the fic I wrote for the last sshg_giftfest back in 2019 to AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/33644014/chapters/83606734. two chapters are up and I will have the remaining three up within the next several days. sabrebabe. I decided to do a combination of two of her prompts, (prompt #3) Post War, Severus' books have seen much better days. Hermione needs a job that won't drive her crazy. Severus has old books and manuscripts that need TLC, binding, mending, and cataloguing. Perhaps Lucius's library has fallen on hard times, and needs a new home?
I also added something of prompt #2-Post War, Hermione has gone into seclusion and has taken up creating Magical Artifacts anonymously. Highly sought after and very expensive, the unknown artist has a long waiting list of offers. A Former not-quite-as-dead-as-they-thought Professor has been looking for the mysterious Craftsman (probably at Lucius' insistence). Why, and what happens next?

As usual the story sort of got away from me—I'm practically incapable of writing a one-shot. Also the locations in Orkney that I used for part of the story are real and I became quite fascinated by them while doing my research.

Condsider this my SED, although I'll be honest I'm probably not going to be able to manage everyday. :p

Today though, I am thankful to have the internet,(I'm also especially glad today to have it restored after being out since last friday). But anyway, the internet has allowed me to 'meet' many wonderful friends, whom I otherwise would have never known. People from all around the country and around the world. I once called my online friends my imaginary friends but then someone told me they aren't imaginary, they're invisible friends because although you may not see them, they are very real. How true it is!

The mail-lady brought a couple of surprise visitors to my house today. A birthday gift from my very dear friend

crack_broom this month, doing the Hermione/Severus rec's.

Crack_broom is a great resource for HP fic recs and is always looking for volunteers to rec a variety of HP pairings.

Just wanted to let eveyone know the the SS/HG queue is empty after this month, (June--along with December-- is free-flying month, a kind of free for all where anyone can post), but the months of May, July, Aug...etc, etc, etc... are up for grabs. It's not a hard task, four rec's for the month, and just check the memories to make sure your rec has not been made recently. Let's keep our favorite ship afloat by posting those recs of our fave fics.

Yay! I sent my last chapters to my beta, should have them back this weekend and be able to send off the completed fic to the mods. This is such a huge relief, this being my first time participating in the exchange.

Many thanks to the mods for giving me an extension, I really thought I would finish it way before we went to Florida at Easter, but that didn't happen. LOL Plus I also thought it would be much shorter than it ended up being, (those damn characters never want to do things the way I tell them). *rolls eyes*

Anyway I am quite happy with the way the fic turned out and really hope my recipient likes it too. :)

I am a new fanfic writer, and just began posting this year. So technically I am eligible for the Potions Apprentice: Best New Author.

I should note that I do post under different pen names, madeleone here at LJ, also as magdalena and magalena at various other archives (as noted in the side bar on my LJ site.)

Most of the fics that I wrote that qualify are drabble series so most nominations would be in the hiccupping solution category.

I posted several links to stories at OWL which were not posted until a later date but they are eligible as they did post elsewhere prior to the cut off date, but I thougt perhaps some people might prefer to read there if they are already a member.(didn't want to confuse anyone or have someone think they were posted too late.)
