SED??? I'm already a day behind. LOL! I don't know about something everyday, I'm not very good about staying on track. But I do like the idea of having a little more action here on LJ so I will try to contribute something, although I can't promise it'll be everyday.

Well, the big news here today is, apparently, we had an earthquake here in Michigan, just a couple hours ago and I missed it entirely. Honest I didn't feel or hear a thing, I feel let down. It was a 4.2, downstate in the Kalamazoo area, but people in this area are claiming they felt it. Earthquakes are very rare in this part of the country and I guess this was the strongest in over 40 years or something like that. My daughter in West Bloomfield called and said they heard a strange sound and couldn't figure out what it was (she thought it was something rolling around on their roof)  until they heard the news when people started posting online. This same daughter had the misfortune just last August of experiencing an earthquake California style, when they were visiting Napa Valley for her brother-in-laws wedding. That one was a 6.0 and they were very near the epicenter, so compared to that one, this one was a piece of cake! :)

Oooh! In Michigan??? That's exciting!

Earthquakes aren't too bad, really. Unless one is sitting down drinking scalding coffee, whilst at work in some high rise building during an earthquake of at least a 5.0 magnitude.

With many, many glass objects on shelves, or even books surrounding one's person.

That's when it's totally within one's right to squeal and dive under the desk. Although if the squealing is from the scalding coffee spilling over, or contents of shelves falling all over...well, then that's anyone's guess.

I recall driving down the street when the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake hit and I swear the road ahead of me, for about a block's length "rippled". At 6.9, it doesn't sound too bad, but the damage it did was pretty devastating.

Being in CA, I'm glad you missed your earthquake. Much better not to feel them.

Earthquakes are weird.
I hadn't had any experience with them until the fraking started in Oklahoma. By the time we left we were used to them.

Were people to scare? In my experience with earth trembles most poeple get hurt buy running or panic.

The "tremor feeling" depends on the depth and the type of ground. Im glad this one was a mild one.

You didn't miss much; they aren't exactly fun. I'm glad nothing was damaged!

Someone else was saying they felt an earthquake! You guys take care over there, okay?

As far as SED, I realise that every day is a lot to ask - I keep telling people this should be something you enjoy, not endure. It's great hearing from all my friends, but I want everyone to do what they feel like doing.
