Well, like everyone else I've been staying at home for the most part. However I was called away on important business about three weeks back and returned home last weekend. My youngest daughter J gave birth to grandbaby #7 for me (but only #3 for her, lol) and I went to stay with the other two rug rats so hubby could be at the hospital with her. Theo Jameson K., 7# 4 oz, 20.5 in long was born on Thur. 3/26. He wasn't due until April 2, but with all the stuff going on her doc recommended inducing and getting them back home in a timely manner. Enjoy some cuddly baby pics below.
He looks just like a baby doll, doesn't he?
.
Day two he's quite alert here.

Here's the proud Nonnie (me) with the newest addition.

And here are the two siblings, excited to be big brother for the second time, and big sister for the first time.

Well, as if that weren't excitement enough, my other daughter K was expecting as well on May 4th, but due to complications was scheduled for a C-section on April 15th. But then due to increased complications they moved it up to April 8th, so as of two days ago I have grandbaby #8, and again #3 for her. Mom, dad and baby boy Henry Leo M., 7#15 oz and 20" long (and this boy is nearly three and a half weeks early--imagine if he'd gone full term! Both my daughter and son-in-law were big babies tooand I think her daughter was nearly 10 #) are all doing fine and scheduled to be sent home sometime today. Unfortunately, they are in Henderson, NV. so Nonnie will have to rely on pics for awhile. I have a flight booked for the end of this month but at this point I'm not sure I'll be able to go due to the whole virus thing so I may have to reschedule. Our state is the third highest in cases so far and even though cases are far fewer where we are I'd have to fly out of Detroit which is kinda the epicenter here. Plus hubby has IPF a serious lung disease and even though he wasn't going to go, just me, still all that travel through airports and planes does not seem like a really great plan at this time all things considered. I am very sad to have to wait to meet Henry and offer some help to my daughter and her family. I do have a couple pics of of Henry to offer.
A sleepy boy

He's staring at mom here, I told K he looks likes he's memorizing her face so he knows where to go for his next meal.

Date: 2020-04-10 11:09 pm (UTC)I'm really glad to hear that things went so smoothly for the arrival of your number 7. With all the fears in hospitals around us, I can't imagine the stress of going in and out with a newborn, and I know so many hospitals have strict rules on how many people are allowed in a hospital and how many days a new family can even stay there.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Date: 2020-04-11 05:02 am (UTC)On their locations, unfortunately, no. J is here in Michigan and K is out in Nevada, although we hope that maybe someday they will make their way back to the midwest. K & B moved for promotions in B's job first from Detroit to Alexandria, VA and then last year to Las Vegas, NV (B works in the gaming industry). We'd love it if they could get somewhat closer to home even if not all the way.
