luciannamalfoy for her gift to me of Joint Venture. It is a lovely tale of a Hermione whose biological clock is ticking. She took my prompt and made it into a sweet story that was a pleasure to read.
I would also like to give extra-special thanks to my totally wonderful beta,dreamy_dragon73 for all her help on my fic, A Balance of Three written as a gift for lady_karelia. Dreamy was a real trooper and stuck with me through thick and thin, even when my story (which I told her originally would be six or seven chapters) grew to twelve chapters in length. Thank you, thank you, thank you dreamy_dragon!!!
I am totally in awe of the amount of talent there is present in our little corner of the HP fandom. Thanks to everyone who, created fic or art or crafts for the exchange. Reading/seeing it all was inspiring.
And lastly but certainly not least, Thanks to the mods for running the exchange and anyone else who helped behind the scenes. I have been reading the exchange for the past couple years, but this was my first time participating. I will admit, I was more than a little bit nervous, but I received prompt answers to my questions and much encouragement throughout. I'm sure it is not an easy job organizing an exchange of this size but you ladies do a marvelous job. Thanks to all of you!

Date: 2010-09-01 12:08 am (UTC)Thank you so very much for A Balance of Three! I don't know what awed me more: that you wrote a novel-length fic in such a short amount of time or that you must have done a lot of research to find out in detail what I like, am interested in, etc.

Date: 2010-09-01 12:26 am (UTC)And honestly I didn't intend for it to be that long in the beginning I really thought I could tell my story in six or seven chapters. But when it got to-I think it was-chapter seven before Hermione and Severus were even on the same continent, well then I couldn't just have them fall into bed together at that point, so I had to draw it out a bit longer. And the mods were kind enough to give a newbie a generous extension on the deadline, to the benefit of both for myself and for my lovely beta who was trying to complete her own fic at the same time.(And she was a total saint for helping me on this even though it kept getting longer and longer.)
And I would love you to friend me, I will friend you right back. :)
