Really? I loved those books, I had a whole series of them. I used to re-read them every summer vacation. I wanted to have adventures like her and her friends. LOL!

Cool, I think mine were lost in the big flood we had here back in 86. I only had the first 11 or 12, I was looking online and just learned there was a ton more of them. But apparently the later books were all written by a series of different authors.

Hee! I went a checked out your list. I had the tin man from Wizard of Oz on my list but took him off to put Rooster on there. LOL!

Looking it over again this morning, I can see a definite pattern between fantasy/sci-fi/comic bookish/super hero type characters and characters from the past, old west, civil war, etc.

Oh sweet! Another Trixie Belden fan. :D And here I was thinking no one would know who I was talking about. I only read the first eleven or so, I was just looking online and apparently there were like thirty-some of them but the later books were written by all different authors.

Yes, I was quite taken with him. In fact I now blame him for my being a Snape-ophile. You know: very dark and mysterious, yet quite fascinating older man; a loner with many deep, dark secrets, who really just needs a little love to bring him around. Really it explains why I am so accepting of the whole Hermione/Snape scenario. (yup, ah huh, ah huh! That's right.)
