California Trip

I was talking with dear daughter last night that our California trip is less than 3 weeks away. Eeeeek! Time is flying fast.

We are going to be staying with an old friend of mine in Orange County (Tustin to be specific). I posted early last week to see if any fangirls from my flist might be in the southern California area and interested in setting up a meet up, and Mundungus, Keladry_Lupin and Blueartemis expressed an interest. I'm wondering if anyone else is interested. And if so when and where? (Mun, did you get the message I sent through LJ messaging?)  Minus travel days Jessie and I will only have 6 days there (3/1 through 3/6), so time will be tight, and to be fair to Jess, I can only devote one day to fangirl fun.  I would really like to be able to pull this off. Any takers?

Wow! I didn't see the original post, but I'm in Southern California. About ninety minutes north of Tustin. I would love to meet you, and any chance to see Ms 42 and Kel is welcome. The possibility of meeting Blueartemis is also a huge draw.

Having said that, my sons' birthdays are the 4th and 5th of March, so timing may be a problem. Let me know which day, and if possible, I would love to have the chance to meet you.

Oooooh! That would be so great! A date and place has not been decided upon, although Blueartemis did say that Saturday (the 3rd) would be better for her. I hope we can figure out a way to get something arranged. I guess I will need someone local to figure out where a central meeting spot could be. I plan to rent a car but I obviously am not familiar with the area.

How the heck did you manage to have your son's birthdays so close, back to back. My two boys are both on the 1st but in different months, one in April and one in October. :)

I think I could manage the 3rd, as it looks as if we'll be celebrating with family on the 4th as it's a Sunday.

I'm more than happy to head your direction, and as I'm not familiar with that area, I'll just let someone else choose.

I know! My sons are four years apart to a day. We used to joke that you knew how UberGeek and I celebrated the end of the school year. In truth, I was in labor a month early with our younger son, and he was induced. I had a choice of the 4th or the 5th, and we didn't want to overlap birthdays.
